Annette Funicello did not only sing and act, but was also an actor. Most famously, she is remembered for being one of the Mickey Mouse Club's original Mouseketeers. When she was a teen, she began her career in singing and became known for her smash hits "Tall Paul" and "Pineapple Princess.' Annette was born in Utica by parents of Italian origin. The shy girl was a young child. She wanted to pursue an entertainment industry and soon took to dancing and acting. The mid-1950s saw her played in numerous Disney sketches as part of one the "Mouseketeers" as well as gaining considerable fame. Annette shed her Disney identity when she became an adult, and started acting in adult roles. Annette is most well-known for one of the first actors to introduce the category of "beach party". She appeared as a character in such films like How to Stuff a Wild Bikini, Pajama Party, and 'Beach Party.' She also continued to release her music albums from time to time. Annette was first diagnosed with MS 1992. The year 2013 was the year she passed away from the illness.
